This paper examines the political polarization of college students within the public university system of Connecticut and their tendency toward populist attitudes. Political polarization is evaluated based on radical partisanship. Participants were asked about their attitudes toward individuals with different political views and their willingness to engage with messages that oppose their values. Populism was assessed across three dimensions: popular sovereignty, belief in the goodness of the people, and anti-elitist attitudes. The results provide a clear picture of how widespread radical and populist political attitudes are among our target audience and how these traits relate to party affiliation and ideological stance.
